How StepSiege works

Simple to learn.
Deep enough to master.

The rules are easy to understand in minutes, but the strategy comes from where you go, how you deploy troops and what territory you decide is worth fighting for.

The gameplay loop

Five steps from movement to map control.

Every session follows the same clean structure, which keeps the game approachable while still creating meaningful tactical decisions.

1
Earn resources

Walk 1,000 steps

Each milestone earns 10 troops and 1 Risk Coin. That means your everyday movement always converts into usable power.

2
Enter the map

Move into a quadrant

If the quadrant is unclaimed, you take it. If it is enemy territory, you can choose to attack it.

3
Commit a force

Deploy troops

Choose how much of your army to use. Bigger attacks may win the tile but leave the rest of your empire exposed.

4
Flip territory

Overpower the defender

If your deployed force is larger than the defending troops, the quadrant changes sides and the survivors occupy it.

5
Upgrade your position

Spend Risk Coin wisely

Use Risk Coin for reinforcements, scouting, defensive boosts, shields or other tactical tools when timing matters.

Repeat and expand

Build momentum

Walk more, control more ground, climb city leaderboards and create a play habit around your real-world routes.

Battle example

A clean result players can understand instantly.

70Your attack
VS
45Enemy defence

You win the battle. Forty-five troops are removed during combat, and your remaining twenty-five become the new defenders of that quadrant.

Companions later, strategy first

The core pitch remains crystal clear: walk, earn, claim and conquer. Extra progression systems can layer on top without confusing the main idea.

Designed for routines

The game is strongest when it becomes part of your normal walk — before work, after dinner, weekend park loops or trips across the city.

Troops

Your offensive and defensive power. Earned primarily from walking and used to attack or hold territory.

Risk Coin

The strategic currency for boosts, fortification, scouting and emergency reinforcements.

Territory

The main visible status system that makes players care about their suburb, city and regular walking route.

Your legs build the army.
Your decisions build the empire.

The rules stay simple. The strategy emerges from competition, geography and the choices players make with limited troops and time.
